Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

The California Science Center is a public institution of science and learning located in a 245,000 square foot complex with an IMAX theater. The museum is the West coast’s largest hands on science center and it is free to the public (except for parking and rides). The exhibits feature fire safety, conception and reproduction, natural selection, ecosystems, and air and space, and are all artfully designed.

Throughout the museum there are exhibits referencing the space shuttle Endeavour. You can ride in a simulated space shuttle, touch the tires of Endeavour’s final flight, and walk through a gallery of photos taken during the 68 hour long transport from the Los Angeles airport through the streets of Los Angeles to its home here at the California Science Center. The Endeavour completed 25 space missions, including the first service of the international space station and the first repair of the Hubble telescope.
