Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Mellano Farm Stand is a 300 acre organic flower farm along the San Luis Rey River located in a rural agricultural area of Oceanside, where Oceanside meets Bonsall. The small farm stand sells some vegetables and semi-local eggs along with tickets for the tractor ride and corn maze. The corn maze is super small, the perfect size for a young preschooler. There are stations along the corn route with stamps, six stamps upon your exit earns a dumdum. The creaky tractor ride takes you around the property, revealing views not seen from the established public area. There are a few farm animals (chickens, pigs and goats) behind a few layers of fencing, giving you a peak but not an up close experience.

Although I was underwhelmed, A1 does want to return. We won’t be rushing back, but we have been wanting to get out here for a while, so we can now check this place off our list of things to do in Oceanside.

What great photos, capturing A1’s glee. She looked very WHELMED! What fun. It’s nice to have fun close by. A “one & done” is still a “done”! Thanks for sharing.

    Beautiful selection of pumpkins!

    1. They have quite the variety! I took a lot of pictures of pumpkins this year, but we didn’t carve one! Whoops. There is too much going on, I guess. Maybe next year.
