San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is comprised of four of five San Antonio missions. It is the most complete group of Spanish Colonial mission complexes in the world, and it is the UNESCO only World Heritage Site in all of Texas. The oldest mission in the complex was built in 1690. All four are active catholic parishes, holding regular services in these historic buildings. It is the perfect introduction to San Antonio, exploring these unique structures, with their epic angles and depth, without the all crowds.
