Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

On the northwest end of Bass Lake is the trailhead for Willow Creek Trail. The trail follows the meandering creek 2.7 miles north. There are two waterfalls along the way, neither of which we actually hiked to. Instead we took an hour after the 5.5 hour drive from Oceanside to Oakhurst to walk a portion of the trail, stretch our legs, breath some incredibly brisk air, and to throw some rocks into the water. It’s amazing how much water is in this creek, so much I would mistakenly call it a stream. There are so many shades of moss on the trees and rocks it looks more like a Bob Ross color palette than real life nature.
