Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Much like the ocean, Oceanside is not stagnant. Oceanside Harbor now has an art gallery, Mare Amicus, located a mile past the famous Oceanside sign. The gallery is a joint effort by painter, Micaiah Hardison, and sculptor, Kim Shaklee. Mare Amicus opened to the public on its reception today, but will typically open its doors by appointment only. During the popular reception, we chatted with Michaiah (whose paintings focus often on local images) and danced to music (the drummer of the duo, Roger Friend, has won two Grammys and two Emmys over forty year career).

There is no better place to soak up art than in the sticky, salty air of Oceanside. Mare Amicus is a great addition to my favorite city.
