A negative two foot tide is a positive for us. All sorts of interesting sea creatures, typically blissfully covered with water and sea grass, were exposed. We spent at least two hours exploring/playing. The highlights were the lobsters, the sea hare, and the bright red kelp crab whose intense color perfectly matched his personality. Angry. He was missing a claw but used his front leg as a faux claw, attempting to trick his enemy (me) into submission. There is never a dull moment in the intertidal zone.
Another awesome and educational outing and entry. I used to love exploring tide pools and I can see that carried on through Eric, Brady and A1.
We are so lucky to live so close to the beach! Taking advantage of the extra low tides when we can. 🙂
