Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Twice a day from November through January Main Street transforms into A Christmas Fantasy parade route. It is evidence of the genius of Disneyland, the performance happens twice a day, once from It’s a Small World to Main Street and a second time from Main Street to It’s a Small World (to store the floats, costumes and equipment for the following day, in their original location, without too much guest disruption). We honestly weren’t planning on staying for the parade but as soon as A1 heard a parade was brewing, she was cupping her hand to her ear, listening for music, and saying “I think the parade is starting now.” So we waited. The Christmas Fantasy Parade exceeded all expectations. First of all, in the midst of the pandemic, you just don’t see Disney characters walking around Disneyland like you used to, so this was the perfect way to meet everyone. Second, you really do meet everyone. It is unbelievable how considerate the performers are, making eye contact with all the children lined up along the route, in awe that the characters they see on TV actually do exist.

Great pictures, but what I like most is that gorgeous blue sky! We are gray, gray, gray here in Seattle.

    1. Yeah, and here we are, blue skies and tee shirts!
We have to look at lots of decorations, so it feels like Christmas.

Woody tipping his hat to the little lady… priceless. Great, great photographic proof of your fun life. I love it.
