Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

The Seabird is Oceanside’s newest beach lodging. This stylish Hyatt family resort is located right next to the pier in Downtown Oceanside. Curated by the Oceanside Museum of Art, it houses a gallery in the southernmost room of the lobby floor. Every public space in the hotel, however, is like one tremendous art exhibit. The color scheme, the pieces of furniture and decor, the floor tiles, even the books placed on the bookshelf, were all beautifully and meticulously chosen and arranged. The hotel is a nice addition to Oceanside but it is still foreign for those of us who have lived in Oceanside for a while, and will take some getting used to.  The Seabird is like a transporter, taking you to another city entirely or, perhaps, just into Oceanside’s future.

Oh man, great blog. I’m sorry we were two ships that passed in the night but so very, very cool we both got to experience The Seabird. We dined at the Shelter Club and the entire time we felt we were on a cruise. It was amazing and felt ‘normal’. I love this space and with OMA changing the exhibits every four months, it will give us an artistic need to return. I think it is a truly special place. I’m excited for Oceanside’s future. Great photos. I’m going to steal some for my blog. Love it all!

  2. Oh my goodness…Can I just spend a week there? At this gorgeous new SEABIRD? Wow – love all the nautical decor – especially that white coral butterfly 🦋 hanging on the wall! Such an amazing looking new resort! 🤔 Better start saving up…..! Lol!
