Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Aspen-Mirror Lake is a small mountain lake, surrounded by aspen and pines, just a few minutes drive from Duck Creek Village. In the summer, it is stocked with rainbow trout, in the winter, it is frozen. From the parking lot it is a short, half mile hike to the lake. We found all sorts of tracks made by birds and various mammals (humans included).

Four Points pointer- To arrive at the trailhead turn right on the 14 out of Duck Creek Village, then a mile down the road look for the Aspen-Mirror Lake sign. Turn right soon after, onto FR 057. Look for the hiking sign after parking. In a typical winter, we would have needed snow shoes.

Those are some pretty precious A1 photos. You guys are having glorious days. WOW. I love this series of images. Did you make the heart footprint trail? What a great place for a holiday. Fun stuff.

    1. We found the heart and didn’t notice when we walked by it, not until we walked up a little embankment. But we did think it was a great idea!

Duck Creek has been such a great place to vacation.
