We are much too dressed up to walk the tight, cattail lined trails of the Buena Vista Audubon in South Oceanside. But we are not too dressed up for family pictures. Having visited our local Audubon before, I knew we would have the trails to ourselves, giving us an opportunity to take a hundred pictures in the hopes of getting ten good ones (especially since the nature center is currently closed). Although this area, which sits on the edge of the Buena Vista Lagoon, is known for its bird watching, our lens was focused on a growing toddler.

Oh my gosh, you all look amazing. And Miss A’s boots… adorbs. What fun. Thanks for introducing BV to us. We are heading there on Tuesday. “What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment
that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”

Enjoy it! I hope you have the place to yourselves.
