Gatorland has been the alligator capitol of the world since 1949. The theme park and wildlife preserve houses alligators (some albinos), crocodiles among other animals, offering extra experiences like alligator wrestling shows, zip lining, observation decks (a perfect place to watch your six year old zip line over alligators), railroad rides on a narrow-gauge railroad, and a boardwalk through untouched swampland (in other words, what Florida is supposed to look like). Those who went here prior to 2020 may notice a big change, they spent $2,500,000 to expand the park. Spending a day here is a great way to experience Florida.

Six year olds ziplining over alligators – you’re a braver mom than I would have been!! But my son would have loved it :)!
Ha! I was pretty confident everything would be fine. But my heart was racing while she was in motion nonetheless! I wanted to go but I wasn’t wearing closed toed shoes. But it probably worked out better that she didn’t know I was even an ounce nervous.
Florida is just one of those places… a place where the unimaginable happens. This post is just proof of that. WOW.
It is amazing! If you go to the right places! I forgot to mention the moment we pulled into the parking lot A excitedly yelled, “Handyman Hal has been here!!!”. And she was right. He has done en entire TV episode at Gatorland. And apparently we missed Blippi by a few days!
