Mt. Hood Railroad is a century old short line railroad that takes customers into the “fruit loop”, a scenic loop in Hood River Valley.  The train ride starts (and ends) in Hood River, just a few clocks from Full Sail Brewery (which was once a fruit packing plant). On the 3 mile track, the train conductor navigates a 3% grade, taking customers on one of five switchbacks remaining in the United States. Dropped off at the historic Fruit Company building, it is just a short walk to Mt. Hood Winery, an award winning winery with incredible views of Mt. Hood. It may seem like a touristy thing to do, but sometimes you have to go with the flow of the tourists, and the tracks.

How fun! I love train trips. And you can never go wrong with a Full Sail beer!

Looks cool come travel on some trains in Europe!

    1. I would love that! There is no comparison. Europe has trains down.
