Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Emma Jean’s Holland Burger Cafe is a mouthful, when saying the restaurant name or eating one of their burgers. This tiny restaurant one mile off the freeway is right along the path from Las Vegas to Oceanside. It is the perfect place to stop for an amazing meal at a good price. Not only has it been on Diners Drive Ins and Dives two times, it was also in a scene of Kill Bill 2, and has been in business since 1947, and is a historic landmark as the oldest standing restaurant in the Victorville area. I can’t wait to go back to Nevada, for more reasons that one.

Oh my gosh. We’re so there next time we migrate north from Temecula. Do they serve breakfast? What did you, the vegetarian eat? Cool history. Darling… All of it!

    1. I ate a salad and half a grilled cheese. And drank a chocolate shake! They do serve breakfast. Breakfast and lunch.

I’m sure they were on “Old Route 66” and that I must have eaten there in my childhood while on many vacations with my parents.
