Just a few minute walk in this quiet ward of Tokyo where we have been calling home is an iris garden. We just followed the iris tiles in the street, decorations hanging from poles and street signs with arrows to get there. We are so fortunate in that the irises are in bloom. Horikiri Shobuen Iris Garden is free to enter and it even has a little playground. There are 6,000 iris plants of 200 different varieties. Such a fabulous place to end our day.

I love irises and I had no idea there were so many varieties. What a treasure in your little neighborhood. What a wonderful, diverse adventure. Thanks for sharing it.
Such a cute little park!
The flowers are so pretty!! I really want to go during cherry blossom season one time. 😊
I have been once during cherry blossom season. It is beautiful! Of course…
