Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Rancho Guajome is a super well preserved 19th century hacienda. It is a California Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, yet it is almost always completely empty. I don’t think there is a better location nearby for a quiet picnic.

We, too, have toured this amazing bit of history practically alone. It is so right in the middle of everything but yet so much from yesteryear. Great photos… As usual. Fun post.

My gosh – absolutely beautiful! The aloes, euphorbs, and cactus are stunning. And the building is wonderful – those ceiling beams are treasures.

    1. The place is a treasure! Apparently a hidden treasure since it is always empty there. But lucky us!
