Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

There is nothing like the Alabama Hills, which is why it has been the set of hundreds TV series (Lone Ranger, Annie Oakley, Bonanza…) and movies (Django Unchained, How the West Was Won, Iron Man…). With rounded rocks and arches in the foreground and jagged snow covered Eastern Sierra mountains in the background, the Alabama Hills appear unworldly.

I was ready to go back before we even left. How fortunate for us it is so close to home.

Absolutely amazing rock formations!! And, as you said, appear ‘unworldly.’ So intriguing! Photos are great as usual! The weather, and the clothes you were wearing, made it appear the temperatures were very cold! What great adventures for the three of you to reflect and look back on! 🌟

    1. It’s amazing in the Alabama Hills.

We’ll be camping there next week (hopefully). It is a very magical place. I love it there. You captured it exceptionally, as usual.

    1. Thanks! I wish I could live there, but I am glad it is protected. Have fun camping!
