Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

After enjoying the beautiful views from yellow post site 7 in the morning hours, we walked about a quarter mile north on Forest Road 6S13 to, what is typically, the ending point of the Ramona Trail. Basically what this means is we started the hike at over 6,500 feet elevation and didn’t have to work for the views of Garner Valley. It’s smart hiking, with a toddler (our workout comes from hiking for two).

Looks like fun! But probably chilly at night!

    1. Yes. It really was chilly at night. But it warmed quickly after the sun came up. Unlike camping in Big Bear…

John Muir said it best, “Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.” The joy on A1’s face in that camp photo of the three of you is priceless.
