Every year at the beginning of December we patiently await the North Coast Village Christmas lights being strung up, because it starts to feel a lot more like Christmas in Oceanside. We were a little concerned the lights weren’t going to happen this year since the Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights was canceled, and downtown Oceanside has no giant Christmas tree in front of the movie theater, but today we were pleasantly surprised with thousands of lights lining North Pacific Street. It was quite the sight for new eyes.

Absolutely gorgeous. Having seen them in real life, you captured the spectacle of the lights wonderfully. I love this quote by Harland Miller, “The outdoor Christmas lights, green and red and gold and blue and twinkling, remind me that most people are that way all year round–kind, generous, friendly and with an occasional moment of ecstasy. But Christmas is the only time they dare reveal themselves.”
