Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

The Canyon Overlook Trail is located on the less trafficked east side of Zion National Park, right before the drive through the 1.1 mile, 1930s Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel. The trail is just one mile out and back, but has a super rewarding view of the canyon, and plenty of other gorgeous views along the way. This is the first time we have ever done this hike. We really lucked out hiking it this winter, as there is no snow or ice on the skinny trail, and it has much less hikers that usual. A1 insisted on hiking the non-perilous portions herself (as she likes to do). She especially loved ducking in the cave, and watching the active chipmunks.

Utah has the best National Parks.
