Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Ueno is a Tokyo neighborhood filled with shopping, restaurants and a beautiful park. Ueno Park was established in 1873, one of the first public parks in Japan. There is a pond filled with giant lotus which are supposed to be spectacular in bloom. There are also life rings in case one of the ten million visitors a year the park draws in gets a little too drawn in.

Is Ueno Park celebrating its 150th birthday? That’s a long time ago to make such a cool park! Tell me about A1 and the rubber chicken. Funny. I hope you plan a blog post just on vending machines. So truly Japanese! Fun stuff.

    1. The rubber chicken was just something she has never seen! Like so many other things here.

I would probably need one of those life rings :)!

    1. Ha. I honestly doubt they have ever been used. I mean, how deep could the pond actually be?
