Four Points Bulletin

The Rim Trail is a 13 mile super accessible, absolutely breathtaking trail along the rim of the Grand Canyon. The two and a half mile portion of the trail that we walked, from the Village to Yavapai Geology Museum, is known as the Trail of Time, and a walk through the rocks of the grand canyon, through geologic history. There are exemplary rocks labeled along the route as well as scenic location finders that point out the labeled rocks within the canyon walls. The Trail of Time ends two billion years later, at the Geology Museum and with a scenic location finder that points to a muddy Colorado River, the culprit of this vast and majestic geologic spectacle.
The Yavapai Geology Museum was built in 1928. The location was chosen by a group of geologists who found this panoramic view one of the best places to showcase and understand the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon couldn’t be more deserving of its name. Although it is not the deepest canyon in the world it is the most grand.
