Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

The Encinitas Historical Society is located next to the ocean, inside the first Encinitas schoolhouse. Visitors can learn about the history of Encinitas while walking on the original wood floor from 1883, in the room where every school age child in Encinitas was educated, all eight of them. If you are lucky like we were, the ex-mayor of Encinitas will be your docent while touring the oldest public building in Encinitas.

    1. It wasn’t easy to get her out of there. She was waiting for school to start…

    Those old desks are gorgeous.

    1. And they are even better if you sit in every one. And read all the books and use all the chalkboards. Our preschooler LOVES school!
