Every year we look forward to Beach Soccer USA coming to town. The event hosts professional international soccer teams who compete over a three day period. Beach Soccer USA has been ranked one of the top beach soccer club events in the world. I don’t think there are many opportunities to watch professional soccer while playing in the sand, and moments later be catching crabs and poking sea anemones.
This is just one of the reasons I love Oceanside.
Wow – I’ve tried running on sand and it is Hard Work! Can’t imagine playing soccer in sand.
Ha! It is hard! Which is why beach soccer fields are almost 1/3 the size of a regular soccer field. It wouldn’t be a fun match to watch if everyone was too winded to get the ball! 🙂
