Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

There are two more weeks remaining at the World of Orchids exhibit at the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas. As promised, our second trip offered a whole new set of orchids to observe (since they are periodically exchanged). The size of these orchids vary greatly, some the size of softballs, others the size of ping-pong balls. Each one displaying a unique print on its petals.

Thank goodness for iPhones; if it were the 80s I would have just spent $100 on Polaroid film in an attempt to properly capture their beauty.

I am so sorry to have to miss this. Your photos are tantalizing! What fun to see the entire family delighting in the beauty of it all. I laughed about the polaroid photos comment. Mine would have been film, and duplicates. Oh man, the amount of photos taken and wasted, once seen upon developing. Thanks for sharing. I’ll put this on my calendar for next year. YES, 2023’s calendar already has dates on it. Yikes. I miss you all!

    1. If you are here, you should go! But who knows where you will be. Time will tell!
