Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Palm Springs will always be one of our favorite cities to visit, a city where you feel much further away from home than you actually are. You know a city is amazing when your favorite California journalist, Huell Howser, who has publicly explored the whole state, buys a home in the area.

Downtown Palm Springs has more to offer than shops, restaurants and bars; when wandering around Downtown, art can be found everywhere. From modern art to statues to murals to architecture, it is all art for the public, and there is art for everyone.

Your daughter leaning against the statue of a man standing with casual pose – classic!
And the seated woman statue is unique.

    1. Ha. That was all her. She almost never willingly takes a picture. I am always happy to just get one good one…
I love the sculpture too. It is called Isabelle, by a Portland, Oregon sculptor, Julian Voss-Andreae. He does beautiful work.

Love looking at all the artwork thanks for sharing! She is so cute posing like you with the peace sign. I have not been to Palm Springs in ages!

    1. Palm Springs has so much to offer. When we win the lottery we will buy a vacation home there. 🙂

Palm Springs is my favorite desert town, anywhere. If I won the lottery, I too would by there. There is so much going on… all the time. I love how close it is, too. Great post. You did miss the WOW sign that says MOM in its shadow! I love that. All of it! Fun stuff.

    1. Ha! We will look for the WOW! Although the whole town is WOW…
      There is always next time!
