Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

We are so lucky to live in Southern California, not just for the weather but for our proximity to iconic entertainment. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, but there was always Disneyland money. We went on average three times a year. (Of course, the cost was a little different. Our whole family would go for less than the cost of a single day ticket nowadays.) Nevertheless, there is no question that, as parents, we have to keep this tradition Disney alive.

This is not our first time to Disneyland, but there were a lot of firsts; A1 experienced Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan for the first time today (day one of year three of her life). Although not new, we had to do Autopia, Dumbo, the teacups, the carousel and the train. And then there is always the “next time” list, since you just can’t seem to fit it all in… Walt Disney was a genius. He figured out how to create an insatiable addiction to the happiest place on earth, where money seems to be no object.
