Summer has officially begun, and we found ourselves spontaneously at the beach, greeted by a cluster of keelboats. Keelboats are yachts that have a permanent keel rather than a centerboard. I could tell they were keelboats instantly, the moment I looked at events in Oceanside and discovered that every Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 the Oceanside Yacht Club offers a keelboat racing series. It makes a great background for day one of summer pictures.
There is no better season than summer and no better vacation than summer vacation.

I hope we can find ourselves there one Wednesday night! I so enjoy boats and watching them race. Free fun is the best fun! You work full time but I think you play full time, too.
