Frangipani Estate was founded in 2005 by Don and JoAnn Frangipani, two years after their wine label was started. The tasting room was built from ground up by Don and JoAnn, whose vision was to create an Old-World feel. Don’s winemaking skills were perfected at a different Temecula winery, Cilurzo, where he began working in 1995. Cilurzo Winery is like the root system of a grape vine, where different companies have been grafted on to produce different varietals. Not only was Frangipani a result a Cilurzo, but so was Russian River Brewing Company, whose son, Vinnie Cilurzo, bought and popularized the company in the late 90s.

Frangipani Winery is one of my favorite wineries in Temecula, not only is the wine incredible but the winery is not pretentious. This is important. Temecula is not Napa! It should have its own personality.

Frangipani did a great job with their tasting room remodel but my favorite area to spend time is below the wine tasting room, amongst the growing grapes. It is the perfect place to kick off summer vacation.

The winery should hire you for their PR. You made it so inviting. I love the history along with the pizazz! You do make the most of your weekends. My fave photo, if I have to pick one, is the one of the three girls, strolling through the vineyard. So picturesque. WOW. Thanks for bringing us along.
