Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

Thirty seven acres of Encinitas, ocean view property has been reserved for the San Diego Botanical Gardens (aka Quail Botanical Gardens) for the past twenty years. Their mission is to “inspire people of all ages to connect with plants and nature”. We connected today; wandering along rainforest trails, in bamboo gardens, near turtle breeding grounds, in an orchid greenhouse, and more (in a two hour period I don’t think we came close to seeing even a portion of what these gardens have to offer). Good thing we became members! Just twenty minutes from the house, it is yet another outdoor space to add to our repertoire. There is so much to do in San Diego county, our list is getting pretty long. I suppose the problem is that most of the time when we visit a place it doesn’t get erased from the list but outlined in permanent marker.

I, too, have wanted to go there for years! One of your images looks like Monet’s Giverny garden. So gorgeous. You guys are the ‘joiners’ this year. I want to tag along, too. Fun stuff.

    1. A membership is the way to go. A dual membership for $85 for the year, and you can bring your kids and their kids!
