Walking along Pier View North beach (which parallels the Strand, just north of the pier) we found more sea glass in one day than I have found in a long time. The competition was on after my two year old daughter found her first piece of sea glass! After that I noticed there was much more glass to be found. Most of the sea glass was well frosted, and some of the pieces retained their markings from the pre-weathered bottles. I even found some lime green (which is a little more rare than kelly green) and some light blue. We walked home with a handful of treasures. I am hoping I can get home soon after work (like every day this week) to try to find more. Maybe there is some orange (the rarest color of all) in our near future.
I really enjoyed this entry while having breakfast this morning and waiting for my ham radio net to start. In fact, I think I will read this one over the radio. I’m sure the listeners on Judy Net will enjoy it too.
