Four Points Bulletin

Travels north, east, south, and west of our Oceanside home base.

La Casa del Zorro originally opened its doors in 1937, as the Desert Lodge. On its forty two acres of property there are tennis courts, twenty six pools (most of which are private, attached to casitas), shuffle board, giant chess, croquet, water features, a jogging path, a restaurant, and more. After spending the night here for a family-Valentine-micro-vacation, we spent the morning walking around the property, and swimming in the pool connected to our little unit of hotel rooms. The room was a decent size, with a large bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here and am sure we will return. Although a day trip is more than feasible coming from Oceanside, spending a night means two days in a row of much appreciated desert time.

Love, love, love it all. A1’s joy in the pool makes it worth it all. Fun stuff.
